world teachers' day

Teaching is the most respected professional worldwide. There is a long tradition of guru-disciple relationship in India where the Guru is more revered than God or one's parents. Our second president, Dr. Teacher's day is celebrated in India on 5 September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan (1962-67). Dr. s. Radhakrishnan was a renowned educationist and student-friendly teacher who gained immense popularity among his teachers. Internationally, World Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on 5 October. 1966 concerns the status of teachers to commemorate the adoption anniversary of ILO / UNESCO. UNESCO started these celebrations in 1994 to celebrate teachers and teaching professionals. The theme for this year's World Teachers' Day has been declared, "Young Teachers: The Future of the Profession."

Teachers are the architects of society. They are nation builders. Their impact on their students cannot be measured in any way. Starting in kindergarten, up to the university level and sometimes even beyond, teachers leave a deep impact on the personality and life of their students. The importance of a good teacher can never be underestimated. A teacher-student relationship is the most selfless of all relationships in which the teacher gives and expects nothing in return. They inspire, guide, mentor, encourage, serve as role models, and are like parents outside the home. Teachers selflessly share their knowledge and experiences with their students and count the successes of their students on their own, proud of their achievements, and always encouraging them to be a better version of themselves.

Teacher's day is a day to acknowledge and celebrate his contribution to educate and empower society. Teachers will spend enough time analyzing our creations and checking for minimal flaws. His responses will usually be encouraging, sometimes snobs despite grammar mistakes. During high school, Teacher's Day was fun. We will dress like our teachers and teach junior classes, while they stay one day in the staffroom. College was different, we had our favorite professor. Some were strict, others friendly but all highly knowledgeable and open to discussion. We learned by listening to his lectures, observing them, following them. We will approach them with all our related or unrelated questions and learn some of the biggest and best life lessons from them.

Nowadays, Teachers Day greetings are given on email, WhatsApp message or Facebook post. Technology has overtaken the personal touch in every relationship and the teacher-student relationship is no different. Sources of information have also changed. Before that, we will turn to books and well-educated teachers. We had none other than our teachers to clear our doubts and provide us for research, which they did so politely and willfully. Now online tutorials and video lectures are the preferred option for students. Previously we used to spend a lot of time in library reading and research, now Google provides you all the information you need in seconds. However, vouchers cannot be used for the reliability of information accessed over the Internet. Finally one has to turn to a teacher for verification and verification. Thus, one can safely say that teachers are, will be, and have always been inaccessible.

Today, on Teachers' Day, I express my gratitude to all my teachers, whose indelible mark was forever etched in my memory. Thank you, teacher, for being guiding a full life.
